FedEx Bolsters Asia Pacific Leadership with Key Executive Appointments to Drive Growth and Innovation

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, has announced major leadership appointments across its Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The company is strategically reinforcing its executive team to fuel business growth, strengthen customer relationships, and advance its talent and operational strategies in one of the fastest-growing global markets.

The new appointments include Marcus Balzereit as Senior Vice President of APAC Sales & Solutions, Rumana Rahman as Vice President of APAC Human Resources, and Shanker Venkateswaran as Vice President of APAC Planning & Engineering.

With more than 25 years of experience in the logistics industry, Marcus Balzereit brings a wealth of commercial expertise. In his new role, he will oversee a team of over 2,000 sales professionals across the region. His priorities include boosting profitable revenue growth, expanding market share, and delivering differentiated logistics solutions tailored to the diverse needs of APAC customers.

Joining the FedEx team with 24 years of experience in human resources across the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, Rumana Rahman will lead efforts to shape a high-performance organizational culture. Her focus will be on evolving workforce strategies and fostering talent development initiatives to meet the challenges of a dynamic and diverse labor market.

Meanwhile, Shanker Venkateswaran steps into his role with over two decades of cross-industry experience spanning business, technology, and operations. Tasked with transforming the FedEx ground network, Shanker will spearhead efforts in design, digitization, and automation, aiming to boost operational efficiency and agility while enhancing the customer experience.
